Arsenal have signed Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto on a season-long loan after the decision was made to bring the stopper to the club as an immediate replacement for the departed Aaron Ramsdale.
Arsenal were keen to add Neto to the side as back-up for David Raya with after reports emerged suggesting that Arsenal are in deep talks over the signing of the Wolves ace.
The 35-year-old joined Bournemouth in 2022 and has gone on to make 63 appearances for the Cherries, and In that time he has conceded 99 goals.
The deal went through on deadline day, and The Brazilian replaces Aaron Ramsdale, who joined Southampton earlier on Friday.
Arsenal posted on the club website: ‘During his time with Barca, Neto won the Copa Del Rey for the second time in his career when Barca lifted the trophy in 2021. After two seasons with Barcelona, Neto moved to the Premier League, signing for Bournemouth in August 2022.
The experienced goalkeeper was included in the Brazil squad for 2012 Olympic Games in London, as well as his country’s squad for 2015 Copa America held in Chile.
‘Neto is not eligible for Saturday’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion, and will join up at Sobha Realty Training Centre next week. He will wear the number 32 shirt.

ARSENAL have a number of players that they will be selling this summer – we are delighted to see that Ramsdale is staying in the Premier League – As we said – he has done nothing wrong since his move to Arsenal – he is a very good stopper that could play for most of the big sides in the Premier League.
Neto is a better back-up option that keeping an unhappy Ramsdale – seems like some more good decisions from that Gunners board.
