United sign up £68 million star, Italian puts Man United on alert, Solskjaer told to sign £128 million star, £100m striker ‘dreams of United move’

Guys we have picked out the top Manchester United stories from icfootballnews over the past few days, we hope you will enjoy.

Manchester United target Timo Werner may have stayed at RB Leipzig in January, but the Red Devils should make a move in the summer window

United made the huge mistake during the summer transfer window and let Romelu Lukaku leave the club without going out and spending some serious money to try and bring in a replacement for the Belgian powerhouse.

However, despite all the speculation and rumours suggesting that United were keen to nail down a move for Werner during the January window, the Red Devils could nowt manage to secure a deal for the young German, and he decided to stay put for now.

But German striker Werner, who is rated as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, recently dropped a massive hint that he is keen on a move to the Premier League at the end of the current season, he told Kicker: “I can generally imagine playing abroad one day, although I don’t have any specific club where I want to be.

“I am open for everything. I was over in America for a holiday recently and English football was on all of the time.

“That’s an exclamation mark for the Premier League.

“But there are also big, famous clubs and it would certainly be fun playing there.”

Former Juventus boss Max Allegri has put Manchester United on alert by announcing that he will be back in work come September.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer managed to secure a permanent move to Old Trafford last season after a decent start to life back at the club, but his transfer dealings over the summer and a dodgy start to the new season, means there is a lot of transfer speculation in the media that he could leave the club.

And there has been talk in the media that a move to United is on the cards for Allegri, who was heavily linked with replacing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal in 2018 but he decided to stay in Turin for a further season in order to try and get the Italian Champions challenging for that Champions League title.

Solskjaer has had the backing of the board in recent weeks and it seems that the Red Devils are ready to give the hero a real chance to prove himself, but if United do not get back inside the top four this year, guarantee Champions League football, and maybe pick up some silverware, he could once again find his job in the headlines.

And now United will be wondering if they should make a move for Allegri in the summer, after the Italian boss alerted most clubs by admitting that he will be looking to get bac k into management in September.

At the launch of his book in Paris, he said of his future: “There is nothing with PSG.

“I am in Paris just to present my book.

“I am not here to talk about my future because I don’t know my future but I know that in September I must necessarily go back to training otherwise I get too used to being on vacation.”

Manchester United legend Jaap Stam has advised Jadon Sancho of leaving Borussia Dortmund for Chelsea, insisting he should make the move to Old Trafford.

Sancho, who has 12 goals and 13 assists this season, is one of the most in-demand players across Europe and there were many reports in the January window suggesting that Chelsea were keen to make a move to sign the winger then, but Dortmund did not want to sell during the winter window.

But there is also some rumours in the media suggesting that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also keen to bring the Bundesliga superstar to the Premier League in the summer, and amid all the transfer speculation surrounding Sancho, Stam has come out and warned the youngster about a possible move to the London outfit.

Speaking to 888sport, he said: “At United, Sancho gets an opportunity play and he can be a real influence and help them out. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world and players look at the future and how a team is trying to play.

“They want to talk to the manager as well about the prospects of the club. Probably every club will tell him the same story.

“But when you look at him and what he can do he can be a real big influence at United should he go there.”

Lyon striker Moussa Dembele dreams of a move to Old Trafford to play for Manchester United and it could happen this summer according to Sky Sports.

United may have splashed the cash during the summer transfer window and improved a number of areas of the pitch, but with the loss of Romelu Lukaku, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to dive into his transfer kitty and land a striker that could land 20-30 goals a season.

Solskjaer was heavily linked with a January move for the very impressive Dembele, who has become one of the most sought after young strikers in the game, but a firm move failed to materialise as Lyon reportedly wanted far too much for a deal to take place.

But his performances this season and the United’s keen-ness to add another striker to the front-line meant that interest in the young man as once again on the agenda for the Red Devils, as reports suggested that were willing to pay around £50 million to try and secure a transfer deal in the summer transfer window.

United enquired about his availability in January after Marcus Rashford’s back injury but instead signed Odion Ighalo from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, but Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol believes the club’s hierarchy are determined to sign a forward in the summer window and Dembele fits the bill.

The report goes on to suggest that Dembele is ready to test himself in one of the biggest Leagues in the game and the French club are willing to let him leave the club if their asking price is met.

But with the likes of Chelsea, Juventus and PSG also on the radar of Dembele, United will have a massive battle on their hands if they want to secure a transfer deal for the impressive striker.
