Italian opens up and tells United boss Solskjaer 29-goal hitman ‘will accept’ move to Manchester

According to Sky Sport Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano Werner will accept a move to the likes of Manchester United this summer window.

Manchester United may have one of the most exciting young sides in the Premier League right now and many people may be getting excited about the future of United, but that does not mean that they simply cannot spend in order to progress.

For all his talent, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows that he needs to improve in key areas of the pitch for United and adding another striker to the side is a must in the summer, as they need to add more goals the attack.

And Werner is high up on the shopping list of Manchester United after another stunning season with RB, in which he has developed into one of the best strikers in the game and netted an impressive 29-goals in all competitions this season.

Liverpool currently lead the chase, but with reports suggesting that the Reds do not want to complete a deal in the transfer window, Romano has now come out and claimed that Werner may accept a move to London or Manchester

He tweeted: “Liverpool two weeks ago asked time to Leipzig for Timo Werner.

“The two clubs are not in official talks yet – but lfc are still Werner’s priority.

“He spoke with Klopp many times and he will wait Liverpool.

“He’d consider other bids only if Liverpool will decide to give up.”

Liverpool seems to be his preferred destination, but a move to United may well be the best fit for the young man, especially as the club need to add to their attack and probably would hand him more game time that he may get at Liverpool.

It will be very interesting to see just where he ends up guys, as it would be a massive shock to not see him leaving the Bundesliga when the transfer window opens up.
