West Ham Decide Part Way with Moyes – Boss excited to take over Hammers – Coach confirms exit

Here is a roundup of the top West Ham news that we think you guys may have missed –

Will Still is no longer manager of Reims amid speculation that West Ham are interested in a move for the young boss.

Still had taken caretaker charge of Reims in October 2022, with Reims being fined €25,000 fine every match while he studied for his UEFA Pro Licence.

At 30, he became the youngest boss in Europe’s top five leagues and guided the team to an 11th place finish, and is considered a rising star in European football. He made a name for himself with an impressive 14-game unbeaten run at the beginning of his tenure with Reims.

The club confirmed the English coach, as well as his brother and assistant Nicolas, have left by mutual consent, and the young coach has said his thank you’s to the French side after leaving with immediate effect.

‘I thank Stade de Reims, President Caillot and Mathieu Lacour for giving me this unique opportunity and for supporting me throughout my journey here,’ Still said

‘I will be eternally grateful to Stade de Reims as well as everyone involved directly or indirectly with the club.

‘I would like to thank in particular all the players with whom I was able to work, all the technical, performance, analytical, medical staff as well as the stewards, but also and above all all the supporters of this wonderful club.

‘Our 19-match unbeaten streak last season as well as the spectacular matches at Delaune will remain unique moments for me.’

Many believe that he is no better than Moyes and will not take WEST HAM forward  – fans will be hoping that his next move wont be to the Premier League.

LOPETEGUI EXCITED –

Manager Julen Lopetegui has reportedly sent a ‘come and get me’ plea to West Ham United after the Hammers were smashed by Chelsea at the weekend

Lopetegui or his agents had Sky Sports News primed with an update to drop right on full-time of West Ham’s car crash of a performance at Chelsea, as the boss has told WEST HAM he’s ‘excited’ to take over as the charm offensive begins.

“Sky Sports News understands than Julen Lopetegui’s number one priority is to return to the Premier League,” the broadcast states.

“We also understand he is excited at the prospect of taking over at West Ham if David Moyes does leave at the end of the season.

“We reported on Friday that West Ham have held initial talks with Lopetegui as they continue to do due diligence on a number of managers in the event Moyes does leave…

“His focus is on potentially taking over at West Ham.”

There are many WEST HAM fans out there that do not want Lopetegui as boss – they believe that he is no better than Moyes and will not take the club forward – especially seeing how he flopped with Wolves.

West Ham need a manager to take the club forward – they have time to hire someone and doent need to make a rash decision on someone like Lopetegui

WEST HAM TO OART WAYS WITH MOYES?

West Ham United have decided they are going to part ways with David Moyes at the end of the season after the defeat to Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Cole Palmer notched a 21st league goal of the season when he powered home the first inside 15 minutes, with Conor Gallagher and star-man Noni Madueke wrapping up victory before half-time

The Hammers were caught out yet again two minutes into the second period when Madueke squared for Nicolas Jackson to add a fourth, and then the striker doubled his tally from yet another Chelsea break 10 minutes from time.

He Tweeted: ‘WEST HAM had already decided to part ways with David Moyes before this game and the plan remains clear for next season.

‘Talks continue with candidates including Julen Lopetegui who’s been approached earlier this week.’

David Moyes was already the talk of the season for the Hammers – it has seemed certain for a while that the club will not renew his deal at the club and will allow him to depart in the summer.

And after this 5-0 smashing by Chelsea – it just shows the difference in quality in the sides, and a new manager will need to come in and get this quality West Ham side playing well once again.

The season is almost over and a number of stars are probably already planning for their holidays and life after Moyes – so if the reports are true by Romano and the club have decided to part ways with the Scotsman – it may be the best thing moving forward.

There are a few options out there for West Ham and they need to make sure that the right boss is brought to the club next.
