Stuttgart’s sporting director says the club want to keep West Ham target Serhou Guirassy this month – but did not rule out selling the forward if the right offer comes in

The 27-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga this season with 16 goals and is only behind Harry Kane in the scoring charts of the Bundesliga.

He already has 19 goals to his name in all competitions and has proved many people wrong that he is able to cut it in the Bundesliga at the highest level.

Couple that with his astonishingly low £15.1m release clause and it seems certain that offers from the likes of West Ham will arrive in the January window and take him to that next level in the game.

Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the forward and now it has been revealed that the German side will allow him to depart the club should the right offer arrive this month.

“Our strategy is not to hope, fear and keep our fingers crossed,” Stuttgart chief Fabian Wohlgemuth told BW24.

“It’s not wishful thinking .We are constantly in contact, and if matters align that are favorable, then we will do it. If not, then not.

“We will keep our eyes and ears open. We’re not under any pressure, but the squad situation is a bit tense at the moment.”

Anton Ferdinand recently urged WEST HAM United to pull off a “massive coup” and get a deal done for the striker –

Ferdinand said: “On a serious note, listen, there’s some big teams in for this guy.

“If we was to get him, it would a massive massive coup.”

INGS DECISION MADE – 

Wolves’ proposed move for West Ham striker Danny Ings has been put on hold amid the Hammers’ injury woes.

Ings, who has started just once in the Premier League this season, is the subject of loan interest at Molineux this month as they seek to add a bit more fire-power to that attack over the next few weeks.

However, WEST HAM forward Michail Antonio has suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury, and As a result, David Moyes is not able to let Ings leave the club at the moment, with other injuries also affecting their situation.

Both Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta were injured during their 1-1 FA Cup draw against Bristol City on Sunday.

Ings has made 40 appearances for West Ham since he signed from Aston Villa last January, but he has only scored three goals during that time, all of which came last season.

He has featured 18 times across all competitions this term but starts have come in just four of those appearances.

West Ham signed a proven Premier League striker when Ings arrived at the club and many had hoped that he could still bang in the goals, but he has been a real flop.

We can see WEST HAM letting him depart the club should they manage to add another attacker to the side – and to be honest – a move away will do him the best of good as it seems that he is not part of Moyes plans.

It is a massive shame – as we said – he is a striker that has already proven himself in the Premier League and could have been great for the Hammers.

CHRISTENSEN CHANCE FOR MOYES?

Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen has been linked with a return back to the Premier League, which will give the likes of West Ham a chance to get a deal done.

The 27-year-old, who made 161 appearances for Chelsea between 2014-2022, joined Barca on a free transfer 18 months ago after he decided that he wanted to leave the Blues and test himself with the Spanish giants.

He has been a relatively big part of that Barcelona side ever since his move and has even featured in 15 La Liga games this season, but according to Spanish news outlet Sport, Barca have deemed the Denmark international as ‘an opportunity to generate income’.

It has been said that Manchester United, WEST HAM and Newcastle are the three clubs that have expressed an interest in the former Borussia Monchengladbach loan star.

However it remains to be seen whether the centre-back would be willing to return to England as he has no desire to leave the Camp Nou and will only depart should he get forced out.

Over the last few transfer windows West Ham have proven themselves quite capable of landing some quality players and Christensen could be tempted to join the exciting project at the Hammers.

We are not saying that WEST HAM can definitely get the player – but there may be a chance for them to get Christensen for a bargain and add some more quality to that back-line, which has looked a bit dodgy at times this season.

We would not be shocked to see him staying at Barcelona – as he is happy – but there is genuine interest from the Premier League and a move back would give him the chance to prove himself once again in the English game.
