CEO Officially Gives West Ham Chance to sign Classy Bundesliga star

Bayer Leverkusen’s CEO admitted they could be tempted to sell defender and West Ham target Jonathan Tah in the upcoming transfer window.

WEST HAM are having a decent season under David Moyes despite some dodgy performances in the opening months of the season, and will be hoping to get back into a European place by the end of the campaign.

The summer transfer window will then give West Ham the chance to start signing players that could make a real difference to the side, and Tah is a player that has been impressing over the last few years.

Now  -amid all the speculation that the Hammers could move for the star at the end of the season – Leverkusen’s CEO has opened up and admitted that they will be tempted into selling the unit in the summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Carro said: “We want to extend his contract. We are a club that will not give players away for free. That means that we have to extend his contract, otherwise we will sell him. We have spoken to Jonathan, we value him very much.

‘He knows that the club and all of us want to keep him in Leverkusen. He knows that. But we also respect his wish. We will see whether he stays with us in the end or goes somewhere else. We hope he stays.

“If I try to put myself in Jonathan’s position, it might be more interesting for him if he wants to move or would end up moving, perhaps not to move within Germany. Maybe it is more interesting to move abroad.”

Tah has been brilliant for Leverkusen this season and they will not want to sell, but if the Hammers make the right offer, then they could be getting a very classy defender.

However – there are quite a few clubs interested in the man, so he may cost some serious money.
