West Ham told £45M is price to pay for midfielder after making offer!

West Ham have been told they will need to cough up £45 million if they want to sign Scott McTominay from Man United.

WEST HAM spent some serious money in the summer transfer window signing players that they believe could propel them into a Champions League challenging position.

However – that has not worked out and they had to fend off a relegation battle in the latter stages of the season – although that European trophy meant it was a special season for the club

That has led to speculation that West Ham are interested in a deal for McTominay as they seek to finally replace Declan Rice – who left the club just a few weeks ago to join London rivals Arsenal.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The Sky Sports website reports David Moyes has been told it would take a monumental offer for Man United to say yes over any potential exit after the Hammers made an offer of £20 million for the midfielder

It will cost them a whopping £45million to prise the Scotland international away from Old Trafford.

SHOULD WEST HAM PAY £45 MILLION FOR THE MIDFIELDER?

HELL NO!

The club need to add players to the side that will make a difference – that will help fill the void that Declan Rice is leaving – and although McTominay is a very solid player – he will not make much of a difference.

So, they need to walk away from signing the Man United midfielder this summer as that is crazy money – If WEST HAM want to add depth – then he is their man – if they want to make a statement – they are looking in the wrong place.
