West Ham looking to seal big January deal with offer of £26M for Ligue 1 star
West Ham United are reportedly ready to go back in with a fresh bid for Lorient striker Terem Moffi – as they look to buy their way out of trouble this January
The Hammers are sitting way down in the Premier League and find themselves in a relegation battle that no-one could have predicted at the very start of the new season – especially after they splashed some serious cash in the summer.
That has led to speculation that West Ham will look to try and sign a new striker this transfer window – and Moffi has been a player that is heavily linked with a move to London Stadium.
Moffi notched his 11th Ligue 1 goal of the season against Monaco last weekend, making him the joint-second top scorer in the division – behind Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Football journalist Ignazio Genuardi has claimed that West Ham are lining up a €30 million (£26 million) bid for Terem Moffi
#Mercato

And amid all the speculation – Pundit Noel Whelan has claimed that West Ham would give us a good chance of staying in the Premier League with the signing of Moffi – he told Football Insider: “Scamacca is someone who needs to be playing week-in, week-out.
“He’s a goalscorer, I saw that at Leeds – but he needs that consistent playing time.
“Moyes has been chopping and changing far too much in that forward line, no one has had a long string of games.
“But firepower wins you football matches, and West Ham might benefit from switching to a two-man strike force. Having three good options in attack is never a bad thing.
“If West Ham can get someone like Moffi in January at a decent price, then it gives them a great chance of steering clear of that drop zone.
“It’s going to be a rough ride for everyone down there. There are about seven teams who could be dragged into it.”
