West Ham are interested in signing special £18m valued Spanish International
West Ham United have looked at the possibility of signing Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo as an alternative to Filip Kostic, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.
Hammers boss David Moyes has done some good business this transfer window and added some depth to the squad that will improve their chances of getting another European place by the end of next season
But Moyes has not signed as many players that he would have liked by this stage of the transfer window and is hoping to do a couple of deals between now and the end of the summer – with Kostic a player that the club want
According to recent reports, West Ham have submitted a £15million bid for Eintracht Frankfurt star Kostic – and it was believed that the German side were ready to accept that amount of money
But there has been interest from other clubs over the past few weeks – and there has been some suggestions that they may actually miss out on the impressive Bundesliga star
And now – according to Journalist Jones – The Hammers may be very interested in trying to sign Spanish star Alex Grimaldo – He told GMS: “I know they really like Alex Grimaldo.
“He was linked to Man City the other day. So he’s one of the top names they’ve looked at.
“But there’ll be others too, as there always is with West Ham. Maybe this is part of the problem.
“They go after too many players at one time and end up with no one.”
