West Ham United are “talking” to AC Milan over the possibility of signing forward Divock Origi this summer.

WEST HAM have some serious money to splash this summer and have been linked with so many names – So far this transfer window – the Hammers have signed nobody – and need to get to work in order to improve the squad before the start of the new Premier League season.

David Moyes needs a new centre-back, a couple of midfields and a new striker to come in over the next few weeks, and now it seems that they are keen to secure a transfer deal for Origi.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) claim the Irons are “talking” to Milan over signing Origi, but they’re joined by Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasary in the race for him.

The Rossoneri are actively trying to find a new club for the 28-year-old, but his high wage demands are becoming a real issue for the chasing clubs.

SHOULD WEST HAM SIGN ORIGI?

Origi is a proven winner at the very highest level of the game – and he is already Premier League proven. He really would be a solid signing for the Hammers.

But the fact he is not a 20-goal a season striker may be an issue because that is what he is being signed for – to score goals on a weekly basis.

And his massive £300k-a-week wages -we cant see WEST HAM paying that for the player.

Moyes may need a striker to come in this summer – but fans will be hoping that £100 million is spent more wisely than on the former Liverpool star.
