West Ham in advanced talks to sign Full International – he is keen to complete move

It has been claimed that West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Chelsea defender Emerson

After struggling for game time at Chelsea and falling well down the pecking order at the club, he made the decision to go out on loan at Lyon, a move that has worked out quite well for the defender

He was an ever-present since crossing to the other side of the channel, and He has played 32 times for Lyon last term – scoring one goal and providing a further two assists – but he returned to the Bridge in the summer

And after the Blues completed the signing of Marc Cucurella earlier in the transfer window – the left-back was made surplus-to-requirements at Stamford Bridge and is allowed to leave the club

Now it seems that he is heading across London to join West Ham – as the club are in advanced talks to complete a move

The Football Insider says West Ham have submitted a £13million bid for Emerson and he is keen to make the move across the capital.

Aaron Cresswell, 32, is the club’s only senior left-back after they let Arthur Masuaku join Besiktas on loan this summer – and Moyes has been keen to add a bit more depth to the side

Emerson will be a very good signing for the Hammers even though his time with ChelseaFC has not been the best – and for £13 million – he may be seen as a real bargain

West Ham are keen to wrap up a deal as soon as they can – so we are expecting an announcement soon
