Bailly can join for Bargain – Hammers handed Paqueta boost – Moyes told to sign Kehrer in West Ham news of the day –

West Ham have been handed a huge boost in their bid to try and sign Lyon star Lucas Paqueta this summer

The Hammers have been doing some decent transfer business this summer and are just one of a number of clubs that have showed an interest in trying to sign Brazilian Paqueta this summer

And although The Hammers interest in the player has wavered in recent weeks – there is still a lot of speculation in the media that he could come over to the Premier League

Arsenal are also reportedly in the chase to sign the player as Edu is a massive fan of the midfielder – but if you believe the latest reports in the media – they may have switched their attentions

As it has been claimed that Arsenal have reportedly made their moves into trying to sign Wolves star Pedro Neto this transfer window – meaning that they would no longer require the services of Paqueta

There has been so much speculation and rumours about the man that many West Ham fans do not know if he will get signed or not

He has had one good season over in French football – so spending £67 million on him cannot really be justified, can it?

But if Arsenal do manage to get Neto this summer – then that will give The Hammers the green light to try and get a deal done for Paqueta -and he would be a very good addition to that Hammers squad

So, it will now be interesting to see just how this all plays out

Bailly for bargain –

There has been come claims in the media that West Ham will be able to complete a deal for Man United star Eric Bailly for just £7 million

West Ham have completed moves for Nayef Aguerd, Gianluca Scamacca, Flynn Downes, and Alphonse Areola so far this summer – but David Moyes knows that he needs to keep on improving the side – especially after the injury picked up by Aguerd

The club chiefs are “fearful” that the centre-back could be ruled out until the World Cup – which kicks off on 21 November – after he had a successful operation on that ankle injury he picked up in pre-season

And that has led to suggestions that the Hammers were interested in signing Bailly from United – as he is expected to depart the Manchester giants this transfer window

Bailly signed a new deal in April last year that commits him to the club until the close of the 2023-24 campaign – but he is well down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and it has been claimed that they will sell for the right price

IcFootballnews has learned that The Hammers have made an offer to get a deal done – although the Hammers will have a battle on their hands as Fulham have also made a move to get a deal done

However – the Daily Mail has claimed that Man United would prefer to sell Bailly to West Ham this summer – and will allow him to depart the club if that £7 million asking price is met

Bailly has been plagued by injuries during his time at Man United – but when he is fit and confident – he looks like a top-class defender

For the right amount of money – he could be a very decent addition to The Hammers side – if they manage to get a deal done

But £7 million is not alot of money to pay for a proven player

Moyes told sign Kehrer –

David Moyes has been told he needs to get a West Ham deal done for £17 million valued Thilo Kehrer done asap

David Moyes has been working on trying to sign players that have the ability to take the club to that next level this summer – and have done some pretty good transfer business so far

Last month saw the Hammers confirm the signing of Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca from Serie A side Sassuolo and the arrival of the £32 million purchase made it four transfers for the summer following the arrivals of Alphonse Areola, Flynn Downes and Nayef Aguerd.

However – the club have picked up a number of injuries this pre-season and Moyes knows that he needs to keep on spending that money in order to keep on improving the side

And that has led to rumours in the media that the Hammers are very much interested in trying to secure a deal for PSG star Kehrer -who may seek a way out of the French giants

Now – amid all the speculation broadcaster Kweku Afari has told David Moyes and West Ham that they should pay the £17 million it would take to sign Kehrer this summer: “He’s a ball playing centre-back and that’s what everybody is looking for at the moment,” broadcaster Kweku Afari said on Sky Sports.

“He can also operate on both sides, primarily as a right-back but also on the left side as well.

“And he is a player that West Ham need. As outlined, they’re short of options in the centre-back position.

“Craig Dawson is a somebody they relied on heavily last season but he’s getting up there in age, 32-years-old.

“So it will freshen up West Ham’s backline. Obviously, Kurt Zouma was their big acquisition last summer and (Angelo) Ogbonna suffered with injury Bringing in Kehrer will reinforce that backline and mean that they’re well positioned to push for Europe again this season.”
