Argentine star want January window move with West Ham keen on deal

Giovanni Simeone wants to leave Napoli in the January transfer window -alerting the likes of West Ham.

WEST HAM have spent some serious money over the past couple of transfer windows and added players to the side that have really improved the squad, although the clubs inconsistency has been a real issue this season.

However – the January window will give the Hammers a chance to add a few more players to the side and a striker is on the agenda of boss David Moyes, and Simeone is a man that the club reportedly want.

Sky Sports News understands the Argentina international is planning to ask for an exit when he holds talks with his club in the next few days.

Simeone has provided competition and cover for Napoli’s £120m hitman Victor Osimhen since signing in 2022, and he has done well when called on. But minutes have been few and far between this season, starting only four times in all competitions.

Simeone scored in the Champions League clash with Real Madrid – combined with last season’s impressive tally of four in seven taking him to a goal every 68 minutes in the competition.

However, despite more than two years remaining on his contract, Simeone’s patience is running out and he feels it might be time to find another club, and The likes of West Ham and Newcastle have been interested in the 28-year-old in the past.

WOULD SIMEONE BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR WEST HAM?

WEST HAM have so many good players in the side – but they are lacking a striker that has the ability to score on a weekly basis, we dont think that Simeone is the man to solve that problem.

He is only now looking to leave Napoli and establish himself as a number one forward – he would be a good signing for West Ham – but not the man to lead that attack.
