West Ham ‘have submitted offer’ to sign Premier League star who is free to leave

It has been claimed that West Ham have submitted an offer to sign Man United star Eric Bailly this summer
West Ham have completed moves for Nayef Aguerd, Gianluca Scamacca, Flynn Downes, and Alphonse Areola so far this summer – but David Moyes knows that he needs to keep on improving the side – especially after the injury picked up by Aguerd
The club chiefs are “fearful” that the centre-back could be ruled out until the World Cup – which kicks off on 21 November – after he had a successful operation on that ankle injury he picked up in pre-season
And that has led to suggestions that the Hammers were interested in signing Bailly from United – as he is expected to depart the Manchester giants this transfer window
Bailly signed a new deal in April last year that commits him to the club until the close of the 2023-24 campaign – but he is well down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and it has been claimed that they will sell for the right price
Now the Daily Mail have now claimed that West Ham have submitted an offer to sign the Man United star
It has been claimed that the Hammers have made a loan move for the defender – but Man United are more keen to let him leave on a permanent basis

Bailly has been plagued by injuries during his time at Man United – but when he is fit and confident – he looks like a top-class defender
For the right amount of money – he could be a very decent addition to The Hammers side – if they manage to get a deal done
But £7 million is not alot of money to pay for a proven player – so why not get him on a permanent basis?
