West Ham have submitted offer to sign proven Premier League star for £25M
West Ham United are interested in signing Burnley forward Maxwel Cornet, according to Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.
Right now, David Moyes is in the midst of trying to sign some more players before the end of the transfer window that he believes will improve the squad enough to compete for more than a place in Europe
Fans have been very happy with the signings that he has made – especially Gianluca Scamacca – who arrived at the club after an impressive season in Seria A after netting 16 goals
Now it seems that West Ham are looking to complete the transfer signing of Max Cornet from Burnley – in a deal that could cost the Hammer £25 million
And according to Taylor – the Hammers have already gone in with a bid to try and get the striker all signed up this summer – He told GMS: “Cornet had a great season last year, he’s still great value, and West Ham have gone in with a bid which has been knocked back.
“Obviously, it looks increasingly unlikely at the moment that Filip Kostic is not going to be a player they’re going to be able to get their hands on.
“They made an offer of £12.8 million which was rejected, still no agreement on personal terms, and Juventus are now back in for him as well. So, it’s a difficult deal to do, but Cornet is definitely a target that West Ham are now exploring.”
West Ham can be very happy with the transfer business they have already done this summer – but if they add a couple more players like Cornet to the side – it will be a great summer
They have big ambitions and Cornet has already proven that he is more than capable of competing against the very best in the Premier League
