But despite all the hype and despite some impressive displays this season – WEST HAM fans have been let down by the clubs performances and results and many believe tat it is now time that Moyes leaves the club.
Hammers boss Moyes will be out of contract at the end of the season and has put discussions about a new deal on hold, but that has not stopped all the speculation about who could be the next man to manage the Hammers.
Former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui is the man that is favourite to replace David Moyes at the club in the summer – with reports claiming that he has already agreed a deal worth 5 million a season
But West Ham legend Mark Noble and technical director Tim Steidten believe hiring Sporting Lisbon head coach Amorim would send out a major statement of intent

TUCHEL WANTS PREM MOVE –
West Ham target Thomas Tuchel appears to be eyeing a return to the Premier League amid talk the Hammers are keen to get a deal done.
David Moyes could be in the final few weeks of his time at West Ham after a disappointing season has seen the club go backwards, rather than forward with all the new signings the club have made.
That has led to some reports that West Ham will make a move to bring the German back to the club and replace Moyes, knowing that Tuchel is one of the best coaches in Europe and a man that could really take the club to that next level.
Tuchel’s departure from Bayern at the end of the season was announced in February but Bayern fans have recently petitioned for the former Chelsea manager to stay on, with Julian Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick among the potential replacements.
Bayern are currently locked 2-2 in their Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid after the first leg, and there has been claims that he could stay on as coach if he leads the side to a shock Champions League win
Asked if there is any possibility of Tuchel and Bayern reversing on their stance, Dreesen said: “No. You have to judge the decision at the time it was made. It was a different situation.
“Now we have another situation – our clear goal is to reach the final and then hopefully win the Champions League.
“We would all be happy together and then we will go our separate ways.’
Now the Hammers have been given a further boost after Fabrizio Romano claimed that Tuchel would like a move back to the Premier League, he tweeted “Thomas Tuchel is not speaking to any other club at the moment; his full focus is on the Champions League. Then, of course, if he leaves Bayern, he’s open to considering opportunities, and I’m told he’d be more than happy to return to the Premier League one day.”
”The only chance to stay at Bayern now is if the board members ask him to do so and present a new project. Let’s see if they will do that because, at this point, they haven’t yet.”
LOPETEGUI AGREEMENT IN PLACE?
It has been claimed that former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui is on his way to be the next West Ham boss.
David Moyes is set for talks with owner David Sullivan in the summer, though West Ham have already held talks with potential replacements as they plan on taking West Ham to that next step and start challenging for more than a European place.
That has led to some speculation in the media that Lopetegui is a man that the Hammers board wanted to bring to the club, and now some reports in Italy have claimed that could happen.
As per TuttoMercatoWeb, Lopetegui is on his way to West Ham and he will sign a two-year deal worth around €5 million per season.

Lopetegui has managed in the Premier League with Wolves – he did ok but did not win the amount of games that the board would have liked and that is why he got the sack.
There will be alot of speculation about who the next manager will be for the next few months – but one thing is for certain – the Hammers board have been very ambitious in their transfer dealings recently and will need to do so with their next manager.
Is Lopetegui any better than David Moyes? Probably not so if the reports are true and he is coming to London – it is not really a manager that will help take the club forward.
West Ham need to hire a statement manager – someone that has already managed at the very top of the game.
