Manchester United given boost to sign powerhouse after £25M decision!

West Ham have had a £25million bid for Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo rejected, which will be a boost to Manchester United.

The transfer window has now been open for a few weeks and this will give the club the chance to get the backing of the board once again and add some fresh players to the squad.

It is no secret that Rafa Varane has now left Manchester United  after the decision was made for him to leave for the final few years of his career – meaning the Red Devils have been looking for an immediate replacement for the Frenchman.

And that has led scouts to keep an eye on the performances of Tobibo – who has been attracting alot of Premier League interest over the past few seasons, but Uefa rules have blocked Manchester United ‘s pursuit of the Nice defender Todibo as the club’s owners INEOS also own the French outfit

That meant that West Ham took up the chance to try and get a deal done for the powerful defender – but have been knocked back by the French giants.

The Hammers are discussing whether or not to return with an improved offer, as they look to bolster the back line, as New boss Julen Lopetegui wants to add two central defenders this summer and is also targeting Wolves captain Max Kilman.

West Ham have already had a bid rejected for Kilman though talks are ongoing, with Wolves pushing the Hammers to either make another approach this week or move on.

Ratcliffe has recently hired a Swiss lawyer to plead before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The lawyer in question is a highly regarded expert in the field of international sports and football law.

Ratcliffe voiced his frustrations at Uefa’s ruling that prevents Manchester United from signing the 24-year-old centre-back – the INEOS CEO told Bloomberg: “Uefa said that we can sell him to another club,

“But we can’t sell to United but that’s not fair on the player and I don’t see what that achieves.”
