Midfielder all set to sign five-year Arsenal deal, Fonte not surprised £40m star could sign for Arsenal, Arteta told target will cost £50 million, Gunners free to sign up Blues star?
Fonte not surprised at Neves to Arsenal news, Arsenal to sign up Smith-Rowe, White to cost £50 million, Hudson-Odoi to get sold in Arsenal roundup…
Jose Fonte is ‘not surprised’ to see Ruben Neves linked with a big-money move to Arsenal.
The Gunners have identified the Wolves midfielder as a replacement for Granit Xhaka, who is set to join Roma for £20million, as Mikel Arteta seeks to add a bit more quality to his squad in the transfer window
The Telegraph claim Arsenal are preparing to bid for Neves with Wolves demanding a minimum fee of £40m for the 24-year-old, who has made 176 appearances since joining Wolves for £15.8million from Porto.
Neves will play alongside Fonte at Euro 2020, and the Portugal and Lille defender was full of praise for his teammate, he told White and Jordan on talkSPORT: “Ruben is a great, young player. We cannot forget he is still a young player.
“He’s done very well since he came to England. I can’t say I’m surprised [about the links to Arsenal] because of the quality he has and his passing range is second to none.
“He can score goals from outside the box. He’s very clever. I’m not surprised there is interest in him.”
There is no doubt that Neves has the quality to be a massive player at the Emirates if the Gunners can get a transfer deal done and dont be too tight with that budget.
To get quality, they need to spend big and £40 million is not alot of money for a player that has already proven himself in the Premier League and would be a brilliant signing for the club.
The Gunners would be foolish to miss out on the man
Chelsea are reportedly open to letting Callum Hudson-Odoi leave this summer, which would alert the likes of Arsenal
Bayern Munich have been trying to sign the Blues academy graduate for two years, making four offers – all of which were rejected, but Since then, the 20-year-old winger has found himself at the bottom of a long pecking order under Thomas Tuchel.
Originally used at right-wing-back by the Chelsea manager, Hudson-Odoi quickly became surplus to requirements, and With the likes of Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech at the club, Chelsea are in a better position to let Hudson-Odoi leave.
He is also contracted to the club until 2024 after signing new terms in the wake of Bayern’s pursuit in 2019, but The Times reports that the Englishman could finally get his move away from the club this summer.
Bayern are still the favourites to get a transfer deal done, but there has been alot of speculation in the media that Arsenal may also decide to make a cheeky offer to try and acquire the services of Hudson-Odoi.
They have also been very interested in a deal for the man, and with their top target Wilfred Zaha going to cost around the £80 million mark, Hudson-Odoi could be seen as a cheaper alternative.
Odoi is certainly a player that could make a real impact at Arsenal should Chelseafc allow him to make the move away from the club, but can we really see the Gunners paying £50 million for the winger?
Arsenal have been warned Ben White will cost £50million in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The Brighton defender, 23, enjoyed a fine debut Premier League season this term, and he was rewarded for his form by replacing the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold in England’s final 26-man squad for Euro 2020.
Brighton are unsurprisingly desperate to keep hold of the Three Lions star beyond this summer, but it has led to alot of speculation that Arsenal are very much interested in trying to get a transfer deal done.
Mikel Arteta has just lost David Luiz after he failed to agree a new contract at the Emirates, meaning that the Spaniard will need to delve into that transfer kitty and add a new defender to that back-line.
However, Brighton are so desperate to keep hold of White, the Seagulls have slapped a £50m price tag on the Dorset-born defender – and they will not accept anything less for the man.
White is certainly a player that has proven himself in the Premier League and is now ready to make that step up and join one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
Arsenal would be the idea move for the player, as they lack quality at the back. But if the reports are true and Brighton will not let him leave the club for less than £50 million, he may be out the price range of the Gunners.
The board do have alot of money, but they will not compete with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool, as they are also both eyeing up a potential deal.
Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe is reportedly set to finally sign a new long-term contract with the club.
Smith-Rowe has made a real impact on the Arsenal side this season and has firmly established himself as one of the most creative players at the Emirates right now.
He is a player that Mikel Arteta rates very highly and a player that Gunners fans have massive hopes for in the coming season after such an impressive campaign with the club.
The versatile attacking midfielder played 33 times in all competitions last term, scoring four goals, And he has the chance to cement his spot as Arsenal’s chief playmaker following the end of Martin Odegaard’s loan from Real Madrid.
Smith Rowe’s current contract expires in 2023 but Arsenal are keen to reward his efforts with a pay rise and extension.
And, Fabrizio Romano claims the playmaker will pen new five-year terms as the Gunners flog Willian, Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi.
Andy Townsend recently opened up and claimed that Smith Rowe is Paul Scholes in the making
“When I look at Smith Rowe, they have a better one (than Martin Odegaard) there already,” Townsend told Optus Sport.
“That young man is so good, he has got great awareness… he is Paul Scholes in the making.
“He can play as a 10, he showed today he can play off one side and come inside, he has got that fantastic ability, awareness, of what is going on around him – not all young players have that.”
Smith-Rowe is a quality player that does have the ability to go on and become a real star for the club, so the news that he is close to agreeing a new contract will be great for fans
