Fans told why West Ham signed much-hyped star – ‘its to make a profit’
WEST HAM United only signed Mohammed Kudus to sell him for more money later down the line, that is according to former star John Paintsil.
Kudus started his professional career at Danish side Nordsjaelland in 2018, before joining Ajax in 2020 where he has scored 27 goals in 87 appearances, helping his side to two Dutch league titles.
He scored 11 goals in 30 Eredivisie appearances last season as Ajax finished third. And for Ghana, Kudus has scored seven goals in 24 games since making his debut in 2019 and started all three matches for his side at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 23-year-old scored a hat-trick in Ajax’s Europa League play-off win over Ludogorets, his last game for Ajax – and there has been much hype surrounding his move to London Stadium.
Now – Plantsil has opened up and claimed why West Ham signed Kudus this summer, and it is because he is young enough to develop over the next few seasons and sell him on for a profit.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Pastil claimed: “He is a young player, that’s why they signed him for five years. West Ham don’t sign players like that.
“Before, they will give you that number of years, it means they’ve seen something in you, and they know that in two or three years’ time, they can market him and make more money.”

It does not matter what WEST HAM do with Kudus five years down the line, all clubs want to sign players that will make them money if they want a future move.
All that matters is that is he a brilliant addition to the squad that will make a real difference in that attack.
