Chelsea have completed the signing of Dutch midfielder Wieke Kaptien from FC Twente on a four-year contract.

After being the youngest player in the Dutch squad for the World Cup, the 18-year-old will now hope to fulfil her potential at Chelsea in the long term after the Blues made the decision to get a move done.

The first of those four years will be spent back on loan with Twente, after which Kaptien will aim to be ready to make an impression for Emma Hayes’ side and hopefully become a first-team regular.

Unlike the Chelsea men, the Chelsea women have been making some very good transfer decisions over the past few months and adding the talented Wieke to the squad is a good move.

She may not be ready to make an impact on the side right now – but in a couple of seasons she may be. But the hard work starts now as she has alot to prove to her new boss Enma Hayes.

TERAMI WANTED?

There has been some claimed that Chelsea will look to sign Mehdi Taremi in the January window after failing to sign a proper striker in the summer.

With CHELSEA looking to spend some serious money to improve that attack over the summer – the decision was made by the board to splash £34 million and bring Nicolas Jackson to the Premier League.

The young striker had started to make a name for himself over in La Liga with Villareal and had fast become one of the most dangerous strikers in the Spanish League with his speed and quality in front of goal.

However – the new signing has just one goal since joining the club, despite starting all four league games, and it is no secret that Mauricio Pochettino is disappointed that a more proven striker was not signed.

WHAT IS THE LATEST.

FC Porto striker Taremi could provide Chelsea with a short-term fix in attack once the January transfer window opens up in just a few months time, the Daily Telegraph has claimed.

The Iran international boasts an impressive record in Portugal, scoring 80 goals and assisting 49 in 151 appearances. There is an element of risk to the signing, but acquiring a goalscorer of his nature could solve a number of issues.

Chelsea spent so much money over the summer, and some deals werent even worth it, but they will struggle to score goals and will need to make sure that a new forward is signed in the January window.

The summer window was a chance to get all the business done that Pochettino needed to take the club forward, but the opening four games of the Premier League has shown that a striker is what the Arnetine needs.

Taremi is young enough to be worth the money, if you are on that Chelsea board, and he is proven enough to make an impact. But there are already players in the Premier League that would be cheaper and worth it more.

CHELSEA will struggle over the next few months, but if they dont sign a striker in January, it could be another horrible season for the Blues.

HAZARD ON WAY BACK?

There has been some shock reports which have claimed Eden Hazard could be set for a shock move back to Chelsea.

After developing into one of the best players in the Premier League, scoring 110 goals and registering 92 assists in 352 matches in all competitions, and helping CHELSEA to numerous titles during his stay in England, Real Madrid came calling for the Belgian star.

The 32-year-old racked up 76 appearances, scored seven goals, and recorded 12 assists for Carlo Ancelotti’s side during a hugely disappointing time at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

But He claimed many titles with Real Madrid including two La Liga titles, Copa del Rey, Supercopa de España, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Super Cup, which is quite an achievement for a player that spent most of his time on the bench.

He is no a free agent after failing to agree a new contract at Madrid and with no offers on the table, has been waiting for his next club to come in and make him an offer for the next 12 months.

WHAT IS THE LATEST – 

Chelsea could make a shock move to re-sign ex-Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard even though the summer transfer window is closed, according to the Daily Express.

Chelsea spent some serious money in the transfer window and added a number of young players to the side, but the Daily Express claim that Hazard would be a man that could bring some experience to the side.

Hazard is a brilliantly gifted player that has flopped massively at Madrid – and the fact that no club has shown him a real interest shows that he is done at the very top of the game.

If CHELSEA brought him back, it would not be worth it. He is done, he would just be collecting a massive wage and would just play here and there.

It does not make sense bringing in somebody that has nothing to offer anymore and we really cant see this happening over the next few weeks.
