Will fans welcome £125M man? Arsenal to launch move for £88M star – £50M Gooner ‘to jump ship’

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed –

Arsenal are ready to launch a shock bid for Declan Rice, according to reports in the Spanish media

Over the past few seasons Declan Rice has developed into one of the best players at the club – and one of the most impressive midfielders that the Premier League has to offer.

He really is the leader at the Hammers and a man that they are hoping to keep at the club for as long as they are possibly too – but that has not stopped speculation regarding his long-term future at the club

Chelsea fc are continuing to be linked with a move for the England International – and it is believed that Rice has already made up his mind about leaving the Hammers after rejecting the clubs massive contract offer

Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his squad in January with Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk – However, Spanish outlet Fichajes report the Emirates boss wants his board to sanction a big-money move for Rice in the summer.

West Ham captain Rice, 23, is rated at around £88million and his club have previously refused to let him leave despite plenty of interest.

Why shouldn’t Arsenal make a move for Declan Rice? They have the money and the quality to compete with the likes of Chelsea, especially now.

His style of play would be a brilliant addition to that Gunners midfield and he honestly would be a player that fans would love.

We honestly believe that Chelsea are the team to beat in this chase – but there is no doubt that Rice would be a world class signing for the Gunners – and a man that would protect that back-line perfectly

Should Arsenal sign Felix?

Arsenal have been told that Joao Felix does not want to play at Atletico Madrid any longer – but would fans welcome the player?

With the many reports in the media suggesting that Mikel Arteta is desperate to improve his squad in the January window – there has been alot of speculation about Joao Felix.

The young Portuguese star is regarded very highly in the game but has been unable to hit the heights that many had hoped for during his time at Madrid – which has led to rumours he could leave.

According to recent reports on the Daily Mail,  Arsenal are exploring the idea of signing Felix on loan until the end of the season After the injury to Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, and Mikel Arteta has been hunting for possible replacements with Felix’s name popping up on his list.

Now – Spanish football expert Fernando Kallas has told Sky Sports News that Felix no longer wants to stay at MadridJorge Mendes has spent the entire night trying to negotiate because Felix doesn’t want to play in Madrid anymore.

“The relationship between him and Simeone is broken and there is an exodus of Atletico Madrid players who want to get out of Simeone’s control.

“The thing is, Atletico Madrid paid a lot of money for Felix so they want something in return so we are talking about £15m until the end of the season, for six months, – so it’s a lot of money.”

Joao Felix has plenty of talent and is just waiting to work under the right manager that will get the very best out of him.

But the way he plays – the kind of game that he has means that he would struggle at the Emirates and it could be a big mistake to sign him – even on a loan basis.

Fans would like to see him arrive – that is for sure – but whether or not he would make an impact is a different story

Whit to jump ship?

Arsenal have been told that Ben White will jump ship if Manchester City actually make a move for the defender.

White has been impressive since he made the move to the Emirates and has become a player that Mikel Arteta can really rely on – so much so – that he has been playing in a few positions this season.

However – there has been some shock speculation in the media over the past few days which have claimed that Man City boss Pep Guardiola is very impressed with the Englishman and is ready to make a move for the star.

And amid the speculation – Frank McAvennie believes White will be happy to move to the Etihad if City approaches him to make the move.

“I think he is confident,” McAvennie said as reported by Football Insider.

“He has made that right-back position his own at Arsenal and I do not see why he would not go to City. He is at the stage in his career that he is kicking on and wanting to win trophies.

“I do not know if they are going to win trophies at Arsenal. They are a very good team but Liverpool are kicking in now, Man City and even Man United now.”

White is a very good defender that is a massive part of that Arsenal side – so it would be a massive loss if he did actually depart the club and make the move to Man City.

There is not really a player in the game that would be able to turn down a move to Man City – Arsenal are having a brilliant season but Man City are a side that will always compete for the biggest trophies while they are under the guidance of Guardiola
