Brazilian Willian needs to talk with Frank Lampard before making a decision on his Chelsea future, according to Brazil legend Rivaldo.
Willian is one of the few world class players at Chelsea right now, but it seems that his last game at the club could be in the FA Cup as there is much speculation in the media that he could be let go after failing to agree a new contract.
It seems that the only thing holding up a potential deal is the length of the contract, with Willian keen on staying at the club for a further three-years, But Chelsea are only prepared to hand him a two-year contract.
That has led to speculation in the media that Arsenal could be his next port of call, with reports suggesting that they are ready to try and tempt him to the Emirates after the Final at the weekend.
But amid all the speculation, Rivaldo has told Willian that he needs to speak with Lampard before making an official decision about his future at Chelsea, He told Betfair: “Willian is at the end of his contract with Chelsea and Arsenal seem to be interested in signing him.
“But he’s having an excellent season and Chelsea are interesting in keeping him.
“Frank Lampard and the board need to inform the player about their plans for him next season.
“Chelsea are signing players and, if Willian will not be a first choice pick, then he probably would prefer to leave.
“Willian will have many interested clubs, but I think he would prefer to learn about Chelsea’s plans first before taking a decision about his future.”
Chelsea are reportedly in talks with the agent of Nahitan Nandez but face competition for the Cagliari ace this summer window.
With Frank Lampard ready top spend big over the next ten weeks of transfer season, it is widely believed that the club legend will try to delve into that transfer kitty and land a few new players.
He has already acquired both Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, with reports Kai Havertz is all set to follow the pair to Chelsea over the next few days, but Frank Lampard will still look to add a few more players to the side.
And Corriere dello Sport claim Nandez’s “attorney is working with” the Premier League heavy-hitters to “figure out if there is room for negotiation”.

That has led to some big speculation in the media which has suggested that Chelsea are looking to sign up Ter-Stegen in the transfer window, with the stopper regarded as one of the very best in the game.
According to Spanish radio network Cadena Ser, Barcelona’s desperation for a renewal is not matched by ter Stegen’s camp and the German has offers on the table from both Chelsea and Bayern Munich to consider.
And While an extension at the club remains the likeliest, Chelsea are ready to test the waters in their search for a new number one.

The German defender said on BILD: “I wouldn’t say no. I love watching the Premier League and I loved playing in it while I was there.
“For me, it was really unlucky because I was injured straightaway and then I didn’t play in the position they promised.
“I’m definitely down for it, it’s one of my favourite leagues, but I don’t know for the future. You never know… it’s not that I would never play there again, absolutely not.”

Chelsea are working on a deal for the highly-rated German attacker, having already signed his compatriot Timo Werner from RB Leipzig earlier this summer for a fee of just £54 million.
But recent reports in the media have suggested that Havertz, 21, wants the move to Stamford Bridge too after the club secured qualification for the Champions League and is eager to get it done quickly.
