Benjamin Šeško doesn’t have a release clause in his RB Leipzig contract, but he does have a “gentleman’s agreement” with the club over a potential exit next summer, the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been informed.
Sesko – who is also attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United – ended the season in stunning form, scoring or assisting in 13 of the final 16 games of the Bundesliga season, and his release clause increased to €65million (£56m) as a result.
It is no secret that all three Premier League clubs are looking to add a new striker to that attack in the summer transfer window as they still have not got a 25-30 goal a season forward that can score on a weekly basis.
However, despite all the speculation, despite all the hype and despite the fact many were tipping Sesko to leave RB in the summer window, the decision was to stay put for the big striker and he actually agreed a new contract to stay
But Šeško doesn’t have a release clause in his RB Leipzig contract, but he does have a “gentleman’s agreement” with the club over a potential exit next summer, Sky Sports Deutschland reports.
The 21-year-old already has seven goals this season and though the German club are not contractually obliged to let Šeško depart next summer, there is said to be an understanding that he is free to leave if an interested club submits an offer worth €70 million to €75 million.

We are certain that Ruben Amorim will try and sign a few players when the transfer window opens up – we are sure that he will be backed – but we are not certain who he will make a move for.
Sesko is a brilliant young striker with a big future, he is a signing that many Manchester United fans will like to see, but there are other options that Amorim may actually go for.
DIALLO HAS PLAN
Amad Diallo is looking forward to working with new head coach Ruben Amorim and wants to extend his contract with Manchester United as he seeks to “make history”.
The 22-year-old has had his ups and downs since joining the Red Devils from Atalanta in January 2021, but Diallo wrote his name into United folklore by scoring last season’s extra-time winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup and on Thursday marked his first start in five weeks with a decisive display.
The winger impressively guided home a header against PAOK, before winning possession and brilliantly curling home as he sealed a 2-0 victory in the new-look Europa League group phase, and has now revealed that he wants to extend his stay at the club: “I always try to do my best, even when I am not starting,” Diallo said.
“I’m every time focused, and everyone wants to play. We are here to play. And when you don’t play, you have to give your best.
“Today, I try to give my best. And the most important thing was to win because it’s been a long time, we didn’t win in Europe so it was nice to win today.”
United had not won a European match in 380 days heading into a match that incoming head coach Amorim again watched from afar.
The Sporting Lisbon head coach starts work at Old Trafford on Monday and his impending arrival has brought optimism to a club that has been stuttering.
“I am excited to have him in this team and I can’t wait to work with him,” Diallo said of Amorim.
“Everyone is here to give his best, and sometimes it’s good. So today we have to enjoy together, and we are ready for the next step.”
Diallo has been with United since the age of 18, joining from Serie A side Atalanta in a 21 million euros (£19m) deal that could reach 41m euros (£36.5m) with add ons.
The winger’s Old Trafford contract expires in the summer, but the club hold an option to extend by a further year and Diallo would like to commit beyond that.
“I’m happy to be here,” he said. “I’m happy to play for this club, and yeah, I want to stay here for a long, long, long time to make history with this club.”
OSIMHEN TIPPED FOR BIG MOVE
Pundit and former Blues star Joe Cole has tipped on-loan Galatasaray striker Victor to make the move to the Premier League, where the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been linked with a potential transfer deal.
During the summer transfer window, there was a hell of alot of transfer speculation that Chelsea were working hard to try and get Osimhen all signed up, that he was a player the club really wanted to sign after he revealed he wanted out of Napoli.
But despite all the potential rumours, the Premier League clubs did not want to pay his massive asking price and in the end, they missed out on getting the big Nigerian star and he eventually made his way to Galatasaray.
Osimhen reminded his former and current suitors of his goalscoring prowess on Thursday night, finding the net against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League, although he missed alot of chances to add to his two goals against the Premier League side.
Joe Cole thought it was the wrong move for the 25-year-old to make the move to Turkey in the summer, who dropped his agent Roberto Calenda at the end of a turbulent transfer window, but has backed the Nigerian star for a potential move to the Premier League.
“I blame his agent,” said Cole on TNT. “For a lad that was the best player in Italy, there have been so many big clubs calling out for strikers banging in goals. “He put himself in a situation where it was untenable for him to stay at Napoli but they couldn’t get the price they wanted for him
“He shouldn’t be at Galatasaray. He should be at a top, top club in Europe but he’s there. He’s got to score goals, bang them in and find his way, hopefully to the Premier League.
“I think he’s a real talent. I don’t know. There must be something missing where the big clubs have looked at him and gone, I’m not sure.”

Greed got the better of Napoli and Osimhen in the summer and that is why he is not in the Premier League this season, but unless the demands from both the player and club drops, we cant see him coming to the Premier League anytime soon.
