Winger will be statement signing for Chelsea – Blues want PL Captain – Chelsea told sign £80M man

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –

Reporter Iomie Stanley has insisted that Chelsea should pay no more than £80million for Ivan Toney.

Toney has been a man in the headlines for the past few months as it is heavily believed that all the big clubs will make a move for him in the January window, when he officially returns from that football ban.

And reporter Stanley has told IcFootballnews that CHELSEA should make a move for the striker in January, he said: “Brentford know that they’re only going to get one chance to sell Ivan Toney and they will want to receive as much as they possibly can for him.

‘Right now his value is at his highest as many people are going off his performances last season, he may come back and fail to live upto the expectations that are now on his shoulders

“But Once Ivan is match fit, then there will be no problems going forward and we can see him working really well in that Chelsea attack under Mauricio Pochettino, he really is ready for that next step.

‘So if Brentford ask for £80 million, Chelsea should pay it.’

IcFootballnews Opinion –

Toney is a quality act, he has all the qualities to be a massive star at CHELSEA – but we do believe that he may stay put in the January window and could wait until the summer to make his next decision.

But if Chelsea really want to sign a striker that will make an immediate impact on the side, then paying more than £80 million for a player like Toney would be a very smart idea.

He is only 27-years of age and has plenty of years ahead of him, and the goals he would score, could really bring some silverware back to the club that is for sure.

Kvaratskhelia STATEMENT –

Chelsea are scouting Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ahead of the January window, and he would be a great addition to the squad.

CHELSEA are keen to sign The Napoli attacker after he garnered massive attention after a thunderous campaign for the Italian heavyweights guiding them to the Scudetto last season.

He was named as the league’s Player of the Season. So impressive were his performances that he has been nicknamed ‘Kvaradona’, a nod to Napoli’s Argentinian great Diego Maradona.

Recognising that interest from Chelsea and other Premier League sides, transfer insider Jones admitted that Kvaratskhelia was unlikely to stick around in Italy for too much longer.

“There is lots of hype building around Kvaratskhelia and as soon as you see him play it is easy to understand why. There are very few players in world football who have made the impact he made at Napoli and he continues to show consistency.

“When you’ve got the likes of CHELSEA and Man City on similar scouting missions you know there is something special going on – and I do believe that both clubs really like him. I have to say though that nothing is going to happen in January in terms of a transfer and even in the summer this is going to remain a difficult deal. Napoli are looking to bounce back from a bad start to this season and they don’t want to lose him and Victor Osimhen in the same year.

“At the moment it has to be said that Osimhen is closer to a big transfer and I think he will be the first to go…so that might mean Kvaratskhelia has to wait a while for an exit.”

And according to reporter Iomie Stanley, the signing of the talented winger would send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League – he told IcFootballnews: ‘He is just making his name in the game – has had a breakthrough season and is developing nicely at Napoli – so we could not see him leaving the Italians unless a crazy offer was made.

‘Chelsea have been signing so many talented players over the last couple of windows, but not too many stars that have already proved themselves at the top of the game, you cannot win anything with just youngsters in the squad.

‘if Chelsea manage to get a hold of Kvaratskhelia and bring him to the Premier League, it will be a massive statement signing from the board that is for sure.’

KILMAN WANTED –

Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Max Kilman has emerged as a traget target for Chelsea as they seek a replacement for Thiago Silva.

The Brazilian has been an incredible servant since joining on a free transfer from PSG in 2020. Silva has gone on to become a fan favourite and has really shown that he is one of the greatest of all-time.

However – with the club looking to the future now and heading into a different direction, there has been alot of speculation in the media that the Brazilian star is ready to pack his bags and leave CHELSEA at the end of the season.

And now, according to well-respected journalist Simon Phillips, the Blues are eying up a deal for the impressive Kilman.

Kilman has been on the radar of Chelsea for the past few windows and is a player that the club really like, especially after his impressive performances over the past few seasons which have really elevated his game.

Phillips posted: “I have been told that the firm interest remains in Kilman for this winter/summer, and his name has been coming up in internal conversations once again.”

IcFootballnews View..

Thiago Silva came to CHELSEA and helped them to great success, when he leaves the club, fans will be sad but will wish him all the best we are sure.

There are some real talents at the club that could learn alot from him over the next few months, so him staying at the club until the end of the season will benefit alot of people at the club that is for sure.

Kilman is only 26-years of age and a man that is ready for that next step in his career, so if Chelsea get him in the January window, he would benefit alot learning from Silva before he departs the club.
