Bruno Fernandes has reportedly held a ‘long meeting’ with Manchester United chiefs to discuss his future after being linked with a move away from Old Trafford

Fernandes is one of the most important players in that Manchester United side and a player that the club are not interested in selling over the next couple of transfer windows.

But despite the fact Man United could still win that FA Cup – there is still alot of talk that Fernandes could follow a number of stars out the door of Old Trafford as they are not where top players want to be.

And according to the Daily Express – Man United and Fernandes have held talks about his future at the club – with many believing that he will stay if the club show ambition in the summer transfer window.

Fernandes recently said talk of his Manchester United future will be on the back burner until Euro 2024 is out of the way, but has hinted that he could leave the club: “Obviously, it doesn’t just depend on me, does it? A player always has to want to be here, but, at the same time, you have to want him to stay.

‘At the moment, I feel there’s that on both sides,” Fernandes told DAZNPortugal on Tuesday.

“I’m not thinking too much about the future, not least because, obviously, this season hasn’t been at the level I’d hoped for, either individually or collectively, so far.

“We could still end the season by winning the [FA] Cup. After that, we have a very important Euros coming up.

‘So, if you want me to be very honest, if I have to think about not continuing in the Premier League, it won’t be until after the Euros because nothing will be able to take my focus away from the FA Cup final and the Euros, as there’s nothing more important than that at the moment.”
