Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

ARSENAL manager Mikel Arteta is willing to sell Thomas Partey in the January transfer window, according to a report.

Thomas Partey has been a player that has been in the transfer headlines ever since the news broke that ARSENAL were interested in signing Declan Rice.

And since the Midfielders move to the Emirates for £105 million – there has been even more rumours in the media suggesting that he wants out – that he is interested in a move away and does not fancy sitting on the bench.

Mikel Arteta has tried to incorporate the midfielder into his side by changing his position in the side and messing around with the tactics of his squad, which has had mixed results so far this season.

Football Transfers have now reported that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and defensive midfielder Thomas Partey have come to an agreement that he could leave the Gunners in the middle of the season.

Mikel Arteta knows that he will be unable to hand Partey the kind of game time that he needs and wanted, but also knows that the midfielder is prone to getting injured on a regular basis and would like to sign somebody more reliable.

There has already been so much speculation about Thomas Partey leaving the club for Juventus and we are still in September, so we are sure there will be alot more said about this over the next few months.

If Partey wants to play on a regular basis and does not fancy keeping the bench warm, then a move away from the Emirates may be the best thing for him and his career.

ARSENAL will use the £30 million they could possibly get and sign a player that adds something different to the squad – so if does Partey moves on – he will not be missed too much.

COONEY-CROSS EXCITED –

Kyra Cooney-Cross has signed for ARSENAL on a permanent deal from Hammarby IF, the club have announced.

The midfielder and Australia international began her professional career at Melbourne Victory, where she made her competitive debut at the age of just 15, and went on to make 44 appearances for the club across two spells, either side of a season-long stint at Western Sydney Wanderers in the 2019/20 season.

A move to Hammarby IF in the Swedish Damallsvenskan followed in 2022 which brought success in winning the Swedish Cup last season, and her performances caught the attentions of the Gunners.

And after a few days of transfer speculation – it was confirmed that she is now an Arsenal player – and the midfielder is delighted with the move to the WSL, which is now considered to be one of the best in the world.

“I’m so excited to join this club,” said Kyra. “Arsenal just felt right as soon as I heard about the interest. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at Emirates Stadium in front of a big crowd for our first game there this season. I can’t wait to get started and help us achieve something big together.”

Head Coach Jonas Eidevall said: “Kyra is one of the best young players in world football and we are delighted to have brought her to ARSENAL. Her passing ability and explosiveness allow her to affect games in a way you rarely see from such a young player, so we firmly believe she will be an excellent addition to our midfield, now and in the future.”

Head of Women’s Football Clare Wheatley said: “We are so pleased to have brought Kyra to our club. At the age of 21, she already has impressive experience at domestic and international level and we believe she has huge potential for future development.

‘Together with our supporters, we welcome Kyra to the Arsenal family and look forward to seeing her play in the red and white.

ODEGAARD TALKS –

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is in advanced talks over a new long-term contract at the club, according to the Daily Mail.

The ARSENAL skipper is now one of the most creative midfielders in the Premier League after developing very nicely under the guidance of Mikel Arteta and is set to be the latest star player to commit their futures to the club after Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba extended their stays this year.

He has been in scintillating form over the past few seasons and has started this campaign just how he ended last season, where he managed an impressive haul of 16 goals.

And now the reports have claimed that Arsenal and Odegaard’s team are now in talks to make him one of the highest earners in the Premier League and one of the top earners at the club.

Speaking earlier this month, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano offered an update on how talks are progressing between the Gunners and Odegaard. Speaking to Caughtoffside, Romano said: “Odegaard is in love with Arsenal, and Arsenal are in love with Odegaard, so the feeling is mutual that they will continue together for a long time.

“Odegaard is club captain, and an important player on and off the pitch. Arsenal are now planning to continue contract negotiations with Odegaard in the next weeks and months, in order to get a new deal done, following the fine work they did to tie down other star players such as Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Aaron Ramsdale and Reiss Nelson in recent months.”

And Odegaard recently revealed that he hopes to stay at Arsenal for a long time, although he didnt give too much away – Speaking to Nettavisen, Odegaard said: “I don’t have much to say, apart from the fact that I am very happy at ARSENAL.

‘I hope I can be there for a long time. Beyond that, I have no comment right now. Now, it is the national team that is in focus.”
