Chelsea are reportedly interested in Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard.
Odegaard was a player that many clubs wanted during the January transfer window after he told Madrid that he wanted a move to get some much needed game time, but it was the Gunners who wrapped up a transfer deal.
But despite some dodgy performances in that Gunners shirt, Odegaard become a big part of the set-up under Mikel Arteta and fans were hoping that the club managed to secure a more long-term deal for the midfield.
However, despite all the rumours, despite all the speculation and despite the fact that Mikel Arteta made no secret of his desire to keep Odegaard at the club, he decided to make a move back to Spain
It is widely believed that under the guidance of Cralo Ancelotti, he believes that he will get more of a shot to prove that he has the ability to play in that Madrid side on a weekly basis.
However, According to Fichajes, the Blues are keeping their eye on the Norwegian as speculation continues about his future in the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid are looking to offload a number of their players to raise funds for top targets this summer. After the departure of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, the 22-year-old playmaker could be the next one to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

Odegaard was brilliant at Arsenal during his stay at the club and it was easy to see just why they wanted him to stay. So the news that Chelsea are now reportedly interested ina deal will come as a massive shock.
The Gunners believed that they would be favourites to sign the midfielder should he leave Madrid, so if he joins Chelsea, the Gunners will not be too impressed
