£375k-a-week star ‘will cause problems’ for rivals this season after joining Arsenal – legend says
Gunners icon Ian Wright has backed Kai Havertz to ’cause a lot of problems’ for the opposition after joining Arsenal this summer.
Havertz made the shock decision right at the beginning of the summer window to move across London and join ARSENAL , as he wanted to be in a side that was competing for titles and playing in the Champions League.
Many fans were left shocked at the news that he was now a Gunner, especially after the poor season he has last year for Chelsea – and the fact he has not lived upto the hype that surrounded him while at Bayer Leverkusen.
Havertz was actually Chelsea’s top scorer last season and Neville thought Pochettino – who lacks attacking options – would have been keen to keep him, but has backed him to thrive at Arsenal.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
“I have seen that we have played him up front and we have played him back into the midfield,” said Wright.
“I believe that somebody like Kai Havertz, you mention Thomas Partey, you can have two number eights. You can have Kai Havertz as one if you want or Declan Rice.
“You can play him a little deeper or you can play him in that little bit advanced role. Obviously, we don’t need him as a number nine.
“But I know that he is somebody that, if he can crash the box, then I believe he will cause a lot of problems for teams.”
The German is a goal-scorer – he really has alot of quality that will improve that ARSENAL attack – he just needs the right manager, the right club to get the very best out of him.
We believe that many people are excited to see what he is able to achieve at the Emirates – especially as he does have alot of quality.
