Ozil to get Emery sacked, Wright reacts to £325,000-a-week deal, Seaman rips Gunners, Sancho wanted in Arsenal Thursday

Here is the latest Arsenal news gossip and transfer speculation from icfootballnews.

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has claimed Mesut Ozil will get Unai Emery the sack.

Emery was the shock choice to replace legend Arsene Wenger in the summer after the Frenchman finally gave in for calls for him to leave the club after a disappointing season in which they finished with out a trophy and way down in sixth in the Premier League.

But there has been speculation in recent players that one of his biggest players, Ozil, could leave the club at the end of the season after failing to establish himself in the Spaniards plans, with many believing he does not suit the style of the former PSG boss.

Ozil has started just 13 of Arsenal’s 26 Premier League fixtures this season but remains one of the most influential players in north London, and Parlour believes that Emery could lose the dressing room because of the German, does like he did during his time with PSG after clashing with Neymar a

‘It’s been a little bit like PSG with Neymar,’ he said on the Metro website.

‘Neymar ended up getting Emery the sack. ‘He lost the dressing room and Neymar was pulling the strings there. Maybe it could be the same at Arsenal.’

Gunners legend David Seaman has ripped into Arsenal after Aaron Ramsey agreed his move to Juventus.

Ramsey has been at the Emirates for over a decade now and has appeared in over 300 appearances for the club, but his time in London is up at the end of the season after he failed to agree a new contract with the club.

He managed to agree a pre-contract agreement with Italian giants Juventus, with reports suggesting he has agreed a £400,000-a-week deal over the next four years, a big improvement on the £325,000-a-week that he wanted to stay with Arsenal.

And Seaman has claimed Arsenal will have to spend all their transfer budget in the summer to find an adequate replacement for the Welshman, telling the TalkSport website: ‘I’m still fuming at the fact we’re going to lose Ramsey.

‘It gets even more frustrating with the fact they’ve announced Emery only has around £40million to spend in the summer.

‘That’s what you’d have to pay to get someone like Ramsey, probably a little bit more.

‘It’s demoralising for me and I’m sure it’s even more demoralising for the fans to hear that and then to see quality players leaving the club.

‘It’s even more frustrating the fact that it’s for nothing, that’s why he’s getting so much money at Juventus. I just don’t get it, I don’t know what the forward thinking is.

‘The fact that Emery gets one transfer window and he gets told he can only do loan deals, now we’re looking at the end of the season where he only has £40million to spend.’

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he made a bid to try and sign Borussia Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho.

Since leaving Manchester City in the summer window for a move to the Bundesliga, Sancho has become one of the most sought after players in world football and is one of the big reasons why the Germans let Christian Pulisic sign for Chelsea during the January window.

His performances have caught the attentions of Manchester United and Liverpool over the past few months, with some reports even suggesting that they could make a huge offer in the summer to secure a deal for Sancho

He has already scored eight goals this season for Dortmund and has a number of assists, but he failed to make any impression during the Germans 3-0 loss to Tottenham in the Champions League this week, as Spurs look to progress to the next round.

But Wenger has now admitted that he did try to sign Sancho when news broke that he was all set to leave the Premier League Champions last summer, telling BeIN Sports: ‘It’s an incredible story because the pressure on these young boys from a young age is very big.

‘The second thing is the pressure form all the clubs.I say that freely because I wanted to take him from City when he didn’t get the games.

‘I tried to lure him – because he’s from London – I tried to get him to Arsenal.

‘I must say they get a lot of money before they have played games, that doesn’t improve their hunger. For these boys it’a test because they are rich before they play. ‘

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has opened up after seeing Aaron Ramsey confirm his move to Juventus.

Ramsey was in talks over a new deal for month, but simply could not come to some sort of agreement at the club as very high wages, and rumours he would not be part of Unai Emery’s plans at the Emirates, meant he was able to agree a pre-contract agreement with Juventus in January.

And earlier this week he announced that he would be making that big move to Juventus, after agreeing a four-and-a-half year deal with the Champions for a wage of around £325,000-a-week.

And legend Wright has claimed the huge wages paid to Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan means there was nothing left in the kitty to offer Ramsey a competitive salary.

“Ramsey is just another player who got into a situation where he could run the contract down,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 live.

“And when you consider the contracts that have been given out, they just couldn’t afford to keep Aaron Ramsey to keep him alongside the players they’ve got with the contracts that they’re on.

“So unfortunately we lose him and, you know, he’s been magnificent.

“Maybe he was never really appreciated at Arsenal.

“I think what people will see now is when you watch how he plays and the professionalism, he’s one of those players that, no matter how poorly Arsenal were playing, he never hid.

“Never hid, always showed for the ball, got loads of stick from loads of people but continued to try to make things happen in the way he sees fit and the way he plays football.”
