Tough-tackling star drops biggest hint to Arsenal fans summer move is happening!
Granit Xhaka has dropped the biggest hint of all that he’ll be leaving ARSENAL this summer after the Gunners smashed Wolves 5-0 on the final day of the season.
Granit Xhaka scored a brace within just three minutes after opening the scoring in the 11th minute. Bukayo Saka then made it three on 27 minutes in a game that saw the hosts donning next season’s kit, which pays tribute to the Invincibles.
Gabriel Jesus got on the scoresheet after 58 minutes and Jakub Kiwior netted his debut goal just 20 minutes later.
And after the game The Swiss international put on in Instagram story ‘Thank You Gunners’ – which suggests he is leaving the club.
Mikel Arteta wants to sign £100million-rated West Ham skipper Declan Rice and another central midfielder this summer, and That would leave Swiss Xhaka facing the prospect of seeing out the final year of his deal on the subs’ bench.
Mikhail Silvestre recently opened up and told the Arsenal board that they need to sign a leader that will help fill the void of the departing Xhaka.
Mikael Silvestre told BettingExpert: “Technically, you can replace him but in terms of leadership, strong mentality and he was also Arsenal’s previous captain.
“I think it’s important that they acknowledge that they need to find someone who can fill that gap.
“Or maybe emerge from the existing group and take the leadership responsibility as well.”
There will be a few players that will leave ARSENAL at the end of the season and we fully expect to see Xhaka pack his bags and depart.
Arsenal fans will be sad to see him go – but if there is an adequate replacement all signed up – then they will move on from the tough-tacking star.
They have a love hate relationship with the man and honestly – he will not be too missed from that Arsenal side when he goes.
It will just be interesting to see what type of players Mikel Arteta signs over the next few months
