Granit and out! Arsenal midfielder Xhaka drops hint at summer Emirates exit

Arsenal star Granit Xhaka has hinted that he is ready to leave the Emirates and take the next step in his career.

Since moving to the Emirates back in 2016 in a deal that was worth £35 million for Arsenal, the Swiss midfielder has not made the kind of impact that many Gunners fans had hoped and has been constantly slated for his performances, with many claiming that he is too slow for the Premier League.

However, despite going against many this season, Gunners boss Unai Emery has stuck with the midfielder and has made him an integral part of the squad, with his performance levels taking a step in the right direction.

But during the International break he has fuelled speculation that he may look to leave the club in the near future when he admitted that he may look to take that next step in his career as staying at Arsenal is not his ‘last stop’

When asked about his Arsenal career, Xhaka told Swiss outlet Tagblatt: “I’m very ambitious, I want to take the next step.

“Arsenal does not have to be the last stop.”

Will Xhaka leave Arsenal in the summer?

There are many Arsenal fans that are still not impressed with Xhaka and would love to see Emery cash in and sell him in the summer, but that is not likely to happen and Emery will sit his player down to clarify his words after the International break.

The Gunners boss will not want to lose many more of his first team squad and will only sell Xhaka if the midfielder expresses a desire to actually leave the club in the next few months.

But if he does leave the club will he actually be missed by Arsenal fans? especially since he has been so unimpressive during his spell at the Emirates?
