‘Time is up’ Arsenal fans told headline taking midfielder Xhaka to complete January deal

Arsenal hero Perry Groves has claimed Granit Xhaka will surely be sold in the January transfer window.

Xhaka’s substitution during the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace was greeted by sarcastic cheers and the Gunners captain responded by throwing his arms in the air and cupping his ears and the 27-year-old was then seen mouthing ‘f*** off’ at the home fans before he removed his shirt and stormed down the tunnel.

And his actions during that game has not led to a lot of speculation in the media about whom could be the next captain at the club, as his actions was that not of a man that should be leading this side, and with not many leaders at the Emirates, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has now been named Captain of the club.

Now Groves, who spent six years at Arsenal during the late 80s and early 90s, thinks there is no way back for Xhaka and insisted the midfielder needs to leave the club in the January window,

“I think his time at Arsenal is over,” Groves told talkSPORT.

“I believe they’ll come to an agreement [in January]

“On a personal level and a human level he’s in a really bad way. It’s really hurt him.”

Look taking the Captaincy off the shoulder of Xhaka was a very good decision from Emery as the man will surely now be packing his bags and exiting the club in the coming months, especially as the Arsenal fans are totally against him.

But if Arsenal are looking to get rid of the Swiss midfielder they need to try and sign a player that is ready to make an impact on the side now, and not in three or four years time.

Fans are sick of seeing average players signed and talented youngsters brought in, its time for a change at Arsenal and they seriously need players that will actually send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League, that Arsenal are here to fight.
