Seria A powerhouse ‘will be very good signing’ for West Ham this summer

West Ham are in contact with Juventus over a deal for midfielder Denis Zakaria – and he could be a brilliant buy for the Hammers.

Zakaria spent last season on loan at Chelsea from Juventus and has now returned to the Italian giants, where he is not likely to be in the first team plans.

His spell in west London was not especially memorable, making 11 appearances in all competitions, scoring once, with the Premier League giants deciding to not make a permanent move happen this summer.

WEST HAM are expected to move for two midfielders as they attempt to replace Declan Rice’s impact this summer, and Zakaria is a man that the club are reportedly keen on signing.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

And they have been in constant contact over a deal for Zakaria for the past few weeks, according to the Sun website.

There is a feeling that a lot of time was wasted getting Rice’s £105m move to Arsenal over the line, so West Ham need to act quickly in order to get their business done before their Prem opener at Bournemouth on August 12.

WOULD ZAKARIA BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR THE HAMMERS?

If you want to judge him on his time at Chelsea – he may be an awful signing.

But going from previous seasons – he is a very solid midfielder that has the physicality to control that midfield for David Moyes.

If WEST HAM can get him for the right price – with his level of experience at the top of the game – he would be a very good signing for the club that is for sure.
