Arsenal issues Abraham message, Zakaria looking for move and Arsenal to get Grealish chance in top Arsenal news….

Arsenal should steer clear of signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, Simon Jordan believes.

Abraham is easily regarded as one of the finest young strikers in the Premier League and is tipped to become a top-striker, but he is struggling to make any real impact under Thomas Tuchel and is expected to depart the Bridge this summer

Chelsea are looking to add a world class striker to the attack, meaning that they will consider offers for Abraham, with recent reports suggesting that Arsenal are the most likely destination for the Englishman

Arsenal, however, have had a bit of a nightmare from signing Chelsea players in the recent past, as Willian joined the Gunners on a free transfer last summer and vowed to turn the club into Champions League contenders, but that has not happened.

David Luiz also moved from west to north London, and although he has been good in parts, he has largely proved to be a disappointment at the Emirates, And Jordan reckons it would be wise for Arsenal to steer clear of Abraham – citing their failure with the Luiz and Willian transfers as evidence for his view.

“Those are players who those in their right mind would never think were fit for purpose at Arsenal,” he told talkSPORT on Thursday

“It’s not so much a reputational thing it’s when you’re going up against your competition and your competition are saying: ‘This player ain’t good enough for me, but he’s good enough for you!’

“How does that work then? It’s universally accepting – and when I say accepting, I mean everyone excluding Kia Joorabchian – would think that the transactions that happened for Willian and David Luiz were just bad business and bad thinking.

“They were players that wern’t fit for purpose in the make-up of Arsenal that needed something more.”

Abraham is a very good young striker but he is not the 20-plus goals a season that the club need right now

Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that defensive-minded midfielder Denis Zakaria is pushing to leave the club this summer.

The Gunners have already signed Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga, with a couple of other deals in the pipeline, as Mikel Arteta looks to build a side that is capable of getting back into those top four spots

Right now this Gunners side is not good enough to compete with the big boys and there is a feeling that Arsenal will need to spend some serious money this transfer window to evev have a chance of getting back into those top four spots, and now they have been given a boost in their chase to sign long-term target Zakaria.

The Switzerland international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal for the last few transfer windows, but a move has not been able to get done as he showed no desire to want to leave the Bundesliga side.

However, Sporting Director Eberl has confirmed that defensive-minded midfielder is pushing to leave the club this transfer window, he was quoted on TalkSport: ‘With Denis, we have been trying to extend his contract since October.

‘Denis and his management told us pretty clearly that they would prefer a transfer this summer.’

Arsenal have done some business already but the signings that they have announced over the past few weeks are not really the players that will worry their rivals too much.

And that is the same for Zakaria, he is a solid player that is decent in the Bundesliga, but at the end of the day, the Premier League is another level to the German League and he may struggle to make an impact

But if Arteta is looking for depth, the right amount of money for Zakaria could be decent.

Paul Merson is predicting that Arsenal target Jack Grealish will leave Aston Villa this summer.

The transfer window has not been very active so far, but there are alot of rumours in the media, and alot of them are about the future of midfielder Grealish

Grealish has developed into one of the most creative players in the Premier League after developing very nicely over the past few seasons, and there has been many rumours that he is ready to leave Villa.

Manchester City are clear favourites to get a deal done but Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are also very interested in signing Grealish should he actually leave the Villians over the next few months.

Now, amid the speculation, Merson has opened up and claimed that he is expecting Grealish to leave Villa, he was quoted on the SUN: ‘The transfer window has been quite quiet so far but I still think there are some shocks to come – and Jack Grealish is one to keep an eye on.

‘He didn’t exactly set the Euros on fire because Gareth Southgate didn’t use him much.

‘But Manchester City know how good a player he is and the fact Aston Villa bought Emiliano Buendia says to me that he might go.

‘Buendia is a good playmaker but how do you get him and Grealish in the same team?

‘Why would Villa pay all that money for Buendia if Grealish is staying? It feels like they were buying a potential replacement.’

Grealish is certainly a player that should be at one of the big clubs, so even though Arsenal are not favourites to get a deal done, he is a player that they could tempt to the Emirates if they are ready to pay his big wages

He is a player that Gunners fans would love
