Madrid boss Zidane wants to sell £150m Arsenal Man United target Bale this summer
Reports have claimed Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is looking to offload Manchester United and Arsenal target Gareth Bale in the summer transfer window.
After getting knocked out the Champions league in such spectacular fashion by Dutch giants Ajax, Madrid finally made the decision to get rid of Santiago Scolari after he failed to help get the side back into the habit of winning games and replace him with former boss Zidane.
Zidane left the Bernabeu at the end of last season after guiding the Spaniards to a third successive Champions League title, but made a sensational return to the club and will now look to offload a number of players that have failed to produce the goods this season.
And according to Spanish Publication AS, Zidane is keen to sell Welshman Bale as the winger has failed to hit the heights that many expected after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo when he left for Juventus in the summer transfer window.
However, both Arsenal and United will have a hard time trying to complete a transfer deal as Bale is the highest paid player at the Spaniards and any club will have to fork out over £500,000-a-week and over £150 million to sign Bale.
Here is what we think on Arsenal or United trying to secure a deal for Bale.
Bale is an absolute superstar and bringing him back to the Premier League would be an absolute treat for the English game, but if Arsenal and United could complete a deal then it would be a massive statement in their quest to regain the Premier League title.
However, Bale is not worth the £150 million that Madrid have reportedly stuck on his head and he is definitely no longer worth the £500,000-a-week plus that he currently gets at the La Liga giants.
