‘Zi’s your guy Lampard! Blues icon tells fans winger ‘could end up being Chelsea’s answer to City’s Riyad Mahrez’

William Gallas reckons Hakim Ziyech could end up being Chelsea’s answer to Man City’s Riyad Mahrez.

Ziyech was one of the players that was signed buy Frank Lampard over the summer transfer window to help improve the attack, add a few more goals and bring some more creativity to the squad.

And despite a slow start to life at the Blues, over the past few weeks, Chelsea fans have seen just why Ziyech is one of the most dangerous wingers in world football, with the former Ajax star contributing to a number of assists from that right wing.

And after watching Ziyech in action, The former France ace heaped praise on Frank Lampard’s Dutch star describing him as the best signing of the Blues’ summer transfer window, while also claiming that he could be the next Mahrez.

Gallas told Ladbrokes: “I think he’s a great addition to the Chelsea squad and would probably say he was their signing of the summer.

“He’s a player who can make the difference. When he’s on the pitch you always fancy Chelsea to create chances and score goals.

“He’s a very clever player. He’s a little bit like Riyad Mahrez, and when you play against a team who are difficult to break down, someone like Ziyech is a great asset to have to make the difference.”

Ziyec is certainly a player that will be brilliant for Chelsea over the next few seasons and they have done very well to bring him to the club, so if they are able to keep him fit and playing well, he could do as much damage as Mahrez does for City.
