Attacking winger ‘will be crucial for Chelsea’ this season fans have been told

Avram Grant believes Hakim Ziyech can become a crucial player for Frank Lampard this season.

After a quite slow start to life at Stamford Bridge, Ziyech has started to make the kind of impact at the club that many fans had hoped to see after he impressed in the Champions League with Ajax over the past few seasons.

He is expected to get better the more he plays in the Premier League, and Grant has opened up and told Chelsea fans that he believes that Ziyech will become a crucial player for the club this season, He told The National: “Frank will be a very good manager – now he is a good manager – but with experience because he’s an intelligent guy.

“He has a good brain for football, he knows the game and he’s played under a lot of coaches, [and] each one gave him a different perspective.

“Even though people say he is young, he didn’t start immediately in Chelsea – he with Derby for a year. He did a good job and last year, with the transfer ban, it was a good experience for him.

“You see the results now, what Chelsea have done this year. They did a very good job in the transfer window, and no doubt they will fight for the championship. I’m sure of this.”

There is no doubt that Ziyech is being a massive player for Chelsea over the past few weeks and will become a big player, but he needs to keep his head down and work hard, as he will need to be on top of his game every week to kep his place in the side.

He will be a crucial player and will be a star that will create a lot of goals for the club, so the strikers will love the man
