Zorc opens up and OFFICIALLY addresses reports Arsenal have made contact about signing gifted midfielder
Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc says there has been no contact with Arsenal about a deal for Julian Brandt
The transfer window is now open, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has the opportunity to make a few moves and improve this Arsenal squad enough to make a big push for that top four spot at the end of the season.
And one area of the pitch that he is reportedly looking to improve on is midfield, as the Spaniard has been lacking a bit of creative spark in the middle of the pitch over the last few months, and he needs to get that solved.
Brandt has been touted as an option but, if he is a target, The 24-year-old would likely command a sizeable transfer fee. Brandt has not missed a match for Dortmund so far this season and has a contract until 2024.
And amid the speculation that Arsenal are keen on a transfer deal, Zorc has opened up and revealed that there has not been any contact about a possible deal for Brandt this transfer window
“I read that too, I can’t say more about it,” Zorc told Bild. “Nobody has contacted us, there is nothing on the table – and not even in the fax machine.”
Arsenal fans just want to see players arrive that will make an immediate impact on the side and help Arteta save the season for the club, and quite honestly, Brandt is fast becoming a very influential player at Dortmund.
They will not want to sell, so even if Arsenal make contact about a possible deal, there is no guarantee that the Gunners will be able to meet his massive £50 million valuation.
